PSEUDOGOD - DEATHWOMB CATECHESIS
Pseudogod are a Russian blackened death band that is absolutely fucking crushing. If you liked that Teitanblood LP that I posted previously, then this will be right up your alley.

DISMA - TOWARDS THE MEGALITH
Disma are a death/doom band from Clifton, New Jersey with connections to acts like Assück, Incantation, Carnage, and Funebrarum, to name a few. Massively heavy riffs, indiscernible growls and drums that veer between d-beat ferocity and sludgy, doom-like crawls. It'd be easy to compare them to early Incantation without much difficulty, but that isn't to say that they're completely derivative. They're not doing anything to reinvent the death/doom wheel here, but this is still a solid LP.

TRENCHROT - NECRONOMIC WARFARE
Trenchrot hail from Philadelphia and play old school death metal. Their vocalist/guitarist I think also spent some time in Vektor, but I'm not 100% sure on that. That's about all I know about them. Their latest album is an unapologetic love letter to 80s death metal acts like Asphyx and Autopsy. There isn't anything here that's really trying to reinvent the wheel, but what they do, they do really fucking well.

IMPETUOUS RITUAL - UNHOLY CONGREGATION OF HYPOCRITICAL AMBIVALENCE
Impetuous Ritual share two members with Portal and three from Grave Upheaval. Not to be trifled with. They play a similar brand of stifling, claustrophobic, chaotic blackened death, though with a focus on blasphemy and occultism in their lyrics. Their new LP is an absolute wrecking ball that, from what I've seen, hasn't been getting the respect that it deserves. If you enjoyed last year's Vexovoid from Portal, this is probably something that you should hear. Scratch that, whether you liked that record or not, this is worthy of your attention.

ARCHAGATHUS - DEHUMANIZER
Mincecore torchbearers Archagathus return with one of their best releases to date. Everything on this album is designed to be punishing (with the exception of the weird, out-of-place synths on "Violence For No Reason"); buzzsaw guitars, gutteral vocals, lightning-fast blast beats... This little guy's got it all. Comes with high recommendations from someone who doesn't really listen to much grind anymore, so that's saying a lot.

KRÖMOSOM - NUCLEAR REICH
Ripping noisy d-beat from Australia with big Japanese influences seeping through the cracks (think Disclose or Confuse). Absolutely slays.

TEITANBLOOD - DEATH
2014 has been a pretty crazy year for music so far, but one of the records that has stood out the most (amongst killer releases from the likes of Impetuous Ritual, Lord Mantis, Mutiliation Rites, Absolut, and tons of others) is the latest from Spanish blackened death miscreants Teitanblood. While I had lukewarm feelings about their debut (2009's Seven Chalices), Death completely blew me away the first time that I heard it. The album just rips into you from the chaotic opening of "Anteinferno" and doesn't let go until its all over. Raw, crushing, brutally heavy blackened death metal. One of the year's best, and carrying Thee Seitanic Warmaster's stamp of near-perfect approval.
